The Fairness Doctrine (Translation....The Censorship Doctrine)

Watch out! The new Democratic administration including Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and other liberals are going to try to revive the so-called Fairness Doctrine. In reality, it is an attempt to silence conservative talk radio. They would like nothing better than to silence the likes of Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham and other conservatives who oppose their liberal agenda. As if the liberal media hasn't tried to dominate enough during the 2008 presidential election, the "Unfairness" Doctrine would essentially give them total control of the media (scary thought, isn't it?) So we would have the "pleasure" of listening to the likes of Katie Couric, Charles Gibson, Harry Smith, Chris Matthews but would no longer have a voice with their conservative counterparts.

In my mind, this would infringe on our freedom of speech. Of course, the liberals would obviously like to re-write the Constitution, but I for one think it's just fine the way it is. We can't just sit idly by and watch this happen. I was listening to Sean Hannity yesterday (surprising huh?) and heard about the Media Research Center (mrc.org).
